We went to Inverness via Scotland’s Malt Whisky Trail instead of the highways coming from St. Andrews. We played golf at Inverness Golf Club the day after we arrived in Inverness.
Inverness is the capital of the Highlands region in Scotland. Inverness means “Mouth of the River Ness” in Gaelic as the city of Inverness lies at the mouth of the River Ness, where the city got its name.
Inverness Golf Club is located along the Culcabock Road in Inverness about one mile from the city center.
The Inverness golf course looked like an easy course to play as I almost saw some of the flags on the putting green from the tee box. It looked flat, wide and forgiving but it was actually a tricky golf course.
There were several holes with blind tee shots, for example, Hole 6, Hole 8, Hole 12 and Hole 16 among others. That what made Inverness golf course a very challenging one to play.
